Christina started her career as a physiotherapist at National Heart Centre of Singapore (NHCS) in Year 2000. During her employment with NHCS, Christina had the opportunity to work with patients across different phases of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, from intensive care unit (ICU) to community rehabilitation at Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF). The patient populations range from stable heart failure patients to post-cardiothoracic surgical patients (Left Ventricular Assist Device, post-heart or lung transplants). Christina has also been on attachment in Wisconsin and Chicago, USA for advanced training in cardiac rehabilitation.

Christina left NHCS in Year 2006 and joined a private hospital to fulfil her mission to practice in other areas of physiotherapy. While practising at the private hospital, Christina was emplaced to be the inpatient in-charge, responsible for managing the inpatient team and was tasked by the manager to establish rehabilitation protocols and guidelines for the clinical services. She was also responsible for mentoring new and junior physiotherapists, as well as involved in clinical education for NYP physiotherapy students. Her scope of physiotherapy practice includes paediatrics, woman’s health, neurological & geriatric rehabilitation, orthopaedics, and musculoskeletal injury.

Having decided that her interest and area of focus lies within the musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice, Christina joined a restructured hospital in Year 2009 as the physiotherapist in-charge of outpatient rehabilitation services. Other than refining and improving on the current musculoskeletal services, Christina was part of the multi-disciplinary teams providing clinical services in weight management and chronic pain management. In Year 2012, she was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) funding for Master’s degree in Australia, to obtain further specialization in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Christina has gained much valuable experience during her stay in the restructured hospital. She strives to provide high quality service to needy patients with a caring heart through her assessments and holistic treatments approach. In recognition of her consistent excellent service, she was awarded as service ambassador in Year 2016 and subsequently service champ in Year 2017.
